Commitment to Community
An Anniversary Celebration
The Center for Education and Health Services Outreach (CEHSO) evolved within the University of Nevada School of Medicine from the original Nevada State Office of Rural Health, and our mission has grown expansively to encompass the issues of medically underserved populations throughout the state. Our primary programs serve all population groups in the state and are not only service oriented, but also include medical and continuing education as well as training opportunities.
In addition to the specific program areas listed below, CEHSO is actively involved in shaping state, regional, and national policy that affects rural, frontier, and urban underserved areas. CEHSO is frequently at the forefront of new and innovative programs, and is regularly called upon to provide technical assistance in the development of new programs.
The CEHSO has been serving Nevada communities for 30 years and is pleased to recognize the anniversaries of the following internal programs that support the mission of the School of Medicine and its commitment to community.
