The Office of Admissions and Student Affairs is a combined office under the direction of Peggy Dupey, Interim Associate Dean for Admissions and Student Affairs. This office assists students during the medical school application process, throughout four years of medical education and into medical practice:

In addition to coordinating the admission process to School of Medicine, the office of Admissions and Student Affairs assists students in their personal and professional growth as they become physicians. To achieve this goal, the office is involved in a number of activities, including:

  • new student orientation
  • registration
  • career development and advising
  • wellness programming and a comprehensive health, disability and life insurance program
  • counseling and referral for a wide range of emotional and physical issues
  • financial planning and assistance
  • third-year orientation
  • specialty decision making, residency applications, the National Residency Match Program
  • annual hooding ceremony and graduation
  • recruitment
  • admissions
