Submitting Letters of Recommendation
UNSOM only accepts letters electronically through one of two services:
If your letters are being sent electronically through VirtualEvals or AMCAS letter service, we will download them to your file. Letters submitted through VirtualEvals or the AMCAS letter service do not need to have the Letter Recommendation form completed. VirtualEvals is working with AMCAS letter service and, in some cases, will download letters directly to AMCAS. Check with your undergraduate advising office if you have questions.
If your letter writer wishes to submit your letter through a service other than VirtualEvals or AMCAS letter service, you must request a hard copy of the letter sent directly from the letter write to the School of Medicine. The hard copy should be accompanied by the Recommendation Letter Form. UNSOm will continue to accept hard-copy letters for the 2009 Admission cycle.
