Applications will be accepted only from individuals in good standing at accredited M.D. degree granting medical schools in the United States and Canada and who meet Nevada's residency criteria or have a close tie to Nevada, as defined in the schools residency policies.

The University of Nevada School of Medicine does not accept applications for advanced standing from students attending foreign medical schools, graduate programs and other professional schools. Transfers into the second and third year classes are strictly limited by attrition and compatibility to the school's curriculum.
