UNSOM Students: 4th Year Class: Graduation Questionnaire
Congratulations on your upcoming graduation from the School of Medicine! We are enormously proud of you and wish you the best as you make plans to transition to the next phase of your professional career.
Each year, the AAMC has administered the GQ to graduating medical students. Information gathered from that questionnaire has helped shape the national discussion of medical education and drive the reform in curriculum and student services at UNSOM. Here are some examples of ways that information from previous graduating students has helped you and/or medical education:
- Enabling the benchmarking of our curriculum across schools nationally
- Documenting the demographics of the burgeoning student debt that helps us in our fundraising and informs legislators of the need for increased support
- Important improvements in student health support services, including the Student Wellness Program
- Documenting the problem of mistreatment of students to prevent future occurrences through training of faculty, residents and staff
The information obtained from the survey is only used as aggregate data; you will never be identified individually in any information that you provide.
We ask you to voluntarily complete this survey in the spirit of helping to shape medical education and to help future students. You are, however, not required to complete this survey or participate in any way with this activity. Reminders will be sent to students who have not completed the survey, but you will not be penalized if you choose not to participate.
The Office of Admissions and Student Affairs has arranged for those who complete the survey to receive a lovely remembrance of UNSOM. Please see Brandi Taylor in Reno or Anni Drury in Las Vegas to pick up your gift upon completion of the GQ.
On behalf of our future medical students, we thank you for taking the time to create this important legacy.
Now, please log onto: http://services.aamc.org/gq2/index.cfm?surveyid=1to take part in the questionnaire.
Thank you!
