• Begin working on biographical information form, CV and personal statement
• Attend Nuts and Bolts:  Applying for Residency
• Schedule your Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) appointment.
• Resident Applications for San Francisco Match (i.e. Early Match).

July

• Begin Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) application July 15.
• MSPE appointments.

August

• Complete National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) applications online.
• MSPE appointments continue.

• Target Date to have your application completed at San Francisco Match (i.e. Early Match). Note this is NOT a deadline. The deadlines vary by specialty. It is the applicant's responsibility to contact training programs for individual deadline dates.

September

• First graduation meeting.
• Hooding speaker nominations.
• Residency interview scheduling begins.
• MSPE appointments continue.
• Residency programs can begin accessing ERAS information - so complete your application early!

October

• Formulate sub-committees for graduation week.
• Residency interviews continue.

November

• MSPEs are released to residency programs on November 1.
• Residency interviews continue

December

• Deadline date to register for National Residency Match Program (NRMP)
• Hooding packets distributed.
• Residency interviews continue

January

• Most residency interviews completed.
• San Francisco Match results released.
• Contemplate rank order list.

February

• Rank order list submitted online.

March

• Deadline for applying for graduation online.
• Match Day!

April

• Track evaluations to be sure they have been submitted by your elective coordinators.

May

• Graduation!
