Clinical Mentor Program - Class of 2011
Mentor assignments will be sent out the first two weeks of May.
Each third year medical student is matched with a clinical mentor in a student-selected specialty The Clinical Mentor Program gives students one-on-one advisement and guidance as they make specialty selection decisions, prepare to apply to residents and transition to residency training. |

The Career Development Program is committed to helping students select specialties that will meet both professional and personal goals. Although specialty selection is a personal
decision-making process, the program provides students with:
- A process that will help students with specialty selection
- An opportunity for students to discuss specialty decision-making with colleagues
- Resources to help students make an informed decision
The program, which combines group exercises with individual projects, consists of four components:
- self-assessment
- career exploration
- decision making
- implementation
