UNSOM Rental Housing:

4 bedroom, 3 bath home in Summerlin area, Maximum commute: 20 minutes from SOM UMC campus

• Furnished

• One student to each bedroom, max 4 students per house.

• 2 car garage

• Short term leases - 4 weeks minimum lease times /shorter times may be available subject to availability.

• Low deposits

• No credit checks for SOM students and visiting students who pay in full

Rental/Utility Fees:

• Single bedroom, with closet, shared hallway bathroom - $350 Rent/$107 utilities
• Single bedroom with own bathroom - $400 Rent/$107 utilities
• Garage usage - $20 per month - 2 tenants can use the garage.

Utilities include:

• Water/Sewage
• Garbage
• High speed internet access via cable
• Electricity
• Natural gas

Furnishing details: 

• Bedrooms:  1 twin-size bed; one night table, one small desk, one dresser
• Common living/dining area: couch, loveseat, dining table w/four chairs; two barstools
• Laundry room: washer/dryer provided
• Kitchen - refrigerator, stove, microwave, etc... all included.
• Vacuum, mop, broom, bucket - some cleaning supplies.

Deposit Amounts:

• UNSOM Students
  • $100 non-refundable* room reservation deposit, with Rental Application
  • $100 refundable security deposit, due within 5 days of student receipt of confirmation of reserved dates.
  • 1st months rent due 14 days prior to first day of occupancy.

• Visiting Medical Students
  • Visiting Students - $150 non-refundable reservation/cleaning deposit
  • $150  refundable security deposit
  • No credit check if rental amount is paid in full at least 14 days prior to occupancy.

Other Information

• No credit check required for UNSOM students.
• A lease will be required, and provided to student tenants, prior to occupancy.
• Student tenants will agree to transcript hold if lease terms are not upheld.
• Minimum lease period is 4 weeks. Students can request shorter lease periods.
• Other fees (lost key charges, for example) may be levied and will be detailed in the lease.

Phones:    Phone jacks are available but phone service will not be provided by the SOM.

Garbage cans:  Garbage cans (2) will be provided by SOM.

Pets: Not Allowed     Smoking: Not allowed in homes.

* Garage usage fee:  $20/month per car; up to two tenant vehicles in garage.  Bicycles of all tenants can be stored in the garage for no fee. Remote control opener provided to up to two tenants who pay for garage usage. Garage assignments made on a first-come, first served basis. Parking permits will be issued to students who pay this fee for usage. (This is to avoid conflicts over who is using the garage. All homes will have room for 2 cars in the driveway.
