Students at UNSOM have many opportunities to participate in activities outside the classroom to enhance their medical education. Medical students are active in all parts of the school, from participating as voting members on all school committees, to providing patient care to the medically-indigent, to being student leaders in clubs and organizations. Students often also start new activities based on their interests. Medical school is training to become a physician as well as a leader in the profession. UNSOM offers students many chances to explore and develop their leadership potential.
