UNSOM Recruitment & Outreach: High School Students: High School Medical Scholars

The decision has been made that the High School Medical Scholars Program will not be offered in Summer 2009. This program has been grant funded for the past 12 years by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and that funding ended in 2007. Unfortunately, with budget reductions at the state level, it makes it impossible for the School of Medicine to offer this program in Summer 2009.

We plan to reevaluate the school's ability to offer this program in summer 2010, once budgetary decisions are made. Please watch the School of Medicine website for updated information beginning Fall 2009.
