Reflections from the Dean
I celebrated my upcoming one-year anniversary as dean with several presentations at the Board of Regents meeting on May 31 and June 1, where I had a chance to update them on what you all have accomplished over that time. I wish you could have been there with me to hear how enthused they are about the School of Medicine. The response by literally every Regent who spoke at both committees, and by several others in private conversations, was positive.
Do they like everything that is happening at the School of Medicine? Of course not, but they like a lot and certainly more than some times in the past.
