Our two MLA chapters -- The Northern California and Nevada Medical Group (NCNMLG) and the Medical Library Group of Southern California and Arizona (MLGSCA) -- have held joint meetings annually since1950 when the first joint meeting was held in San Francisco.
And now we're pleased to anounce a meeting that promises
to be really special, because this year ... it’s Vegas, baby!And not just anywhere in Vegas. Your stay will be at the very heart of the fabled Las Vegas strip: The Las Vegas Flamingo. Situated within a minute’s walk of the Bellagio, Paris Las Vegas, the Venetian, Caesars Palace and the Forum Shops, you will find it easy to combine business with pleasure.
The "Entertainment Capital of the World" offers dazzling shows, world class restaurants, unique shopping experiences, and a golfer’s paradise. A wide variety of activities for families, including Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon are a short drive away.
The conference theme -- Viva Librarians! -- explores and celebrates all that librarians do in contributing to improved health and the advancement of medical knowledge. We’re putting together a program sure to interest, inform, and inspire.
