School of Medicine to hold Annual White Coat Ceremony on August 10

Media invited to attend ceremony welcoming incoming Class of 2016

RENO, Nev.—

WHAT: University of Nevada School of Medicine’s 17th Annual White Coat Ceremony

WHEN: Friday, August 10 at 5 p.m.

WHERE: Joe Crowley Student Union, 4th Floor Ballroom at the University of Nevada, Reno

WHO: 69 incoming members of the medical school’s Class of 2016 will participate in the cloaking ceremony which symbolically welcomes them into the health care profession and helps establish a psychological contract for the practice of medicine. The ceremony concludes the students’ orientation week and is part of the School of Medicine’s Family Day celebration.
