Ming Zhou, M.D., joins School of Medicine's
Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Brings her medical expertise, Chinese language skills to multispecialty practice

LAS VEGAS, Nev.— The University of Nevada School of Medicine announces the addition of Ming Diane Zhou, M.D., to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Las Vegas. Zhou will see patients and teach medical students and residents as part of University Health System, the clinical practice of the School of Medicine.

          "We are delighted to wlecome Dr. Zhou to the faculty of our healthcare team," said Paul Stumpf, M.D., chair of the Department of Obtetrics and Gynecology. " She is the first woman obstetrician at our Patient Care Center, and will be the leader of an all-woman obstetrical team, ''Women Caring for Women.' Dr. Zhou adds a new dimension of service we offer to expectant moms."

          After graduating with her bachelor’s degree from Yale University, Zhou earned her medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine where she also completed her residency training in women's healthcare.

          Her clinical and research interests include medical complications of pregnancy, "high risk" pregnancy, ultrasound, and preventative medicine.

          In addition to her considerable medical skills, Zhou is also fluent in the Chinese language.
