New physicians join School of Medicine's obstetrics/gynecology department |

LAS VEGAS, Nev.— The University of Nevada School of Medicine is proud to welcome Petar Planinic, M.D., and Christian Quintero, M.D., to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Las Vegas. Planinic completed medical school at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine and residency training at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn. He is board certified and has unrestricted medical licenses in Nevada and New York. His clinical interests include OB-GYN ultrasound and laparoscopic surgery. He is fluent in Croatian, Serbian and German. Quintero comes to the School of Medicine from Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, and specializes in minimally invasive gynecological surgery and pelvic reconstructive surgery. He is board certified and is medically licensed in Nevada and Pennsylvania. He speaks Spanish and Portuguese. “As the department continues to grow, the addition of Dr. Quintero and Dr. Planinic expands on the services the department can provide and helps ensures timely and convenient service to our patients,” said Vani Dandolu, M.D., chair of the department.
