What you need to know before considering weight loss surgery

Minimally invasive bariatric surgery seminars open to the public

LAS VEGAS, Nev.—The University of Nevada School of Medicine and University Medical Center will host free seminars on weight loss surgery, free to the general public.

If you are considering weight loss surgery and want to learn more about it, attend one of the hour-long seminars. Different aspects of weight loss surgery, including nutrition, health and fitness, lifestyle changes, surgical options and other health topics will be discussed.

These informal seminars are designed to inform you about weight loss surgery in a comfortable and no-pressure setting.

The weight loss seminars are conducted by Dr. Shawn Tsuda who is board-certified in general surgery and completed fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Tsuda is vice chief of the bariatric surgery division at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and he practices surgery at University Medical Center of Southern Nevada.
