Principal Investigator: A Prospective, randomized, double blinded, multi-center trial assessing the safety and efficacy of sequential (intravenous/oral) BAY 12-8039 (moxifloxacin) 400 ml every 24 hours compared to intravenous piperacillin/tazobactam 3.375 grams every 6 hours followed by oral amoxicillin/clavulanic acid suspension 800 mg every 12 hours for the treatment of patients with complicated intra-abdominal infections, 2001-2002.
