Professional Experience
Dr. Lu was born and raised in Chicago, IL.
She met her husband, Franz Stadler, M.D. (Dermatology) while both were
attending medical school in Chicago. She followed her husband to the
West Coast when he was stationed at the Sierra Army Depot as a General Medical
Officer. During that time, she completed her Family Medicine Residency
at the University of Nevada. She then worked for Washoe Health
Systems at their Urgent Care, Occupational Health Clinic, and Family Medicine Clinic for one year.
She relocated to Rochester, NY for the next three
years at which time her husband completed his Dermatology Residency.
There she joined a practice with four other Family Practitioners. She
was a clinical instructor at the University of Rochester Family Medicine
Residency, and worked with the Resident physicians in caring for her
hospitalized patients.
She returned to Reno, NV with her family in 1999
and joined the faculty of the University of Nevada Department of Family and
Community Medicine in 2000 after the birth of her second child. She
currently acts as the Clerkship Coordinator for the department. She is
involved in research activities and medical education, and has special
interests in preventive health and women's health issues.
Personal
She and her husband enjoy spending time with their
sons Christian and Nicholaus and daughter Isabella. They are actively
involved in their childrens' school and extracurricular activities,
participate in various community groups and enjoy their family and
friends in Reno. Additionally, she sits on the Board of Directors for the Nevada Discovery Museum project and the Keaton Rafael Memorial which serves families battling pediatric cancer.
