RENOWN REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
Renown is a 536-bed tertiary referral hospital serving Northern Nevada
and parts of California, Idaho and Oregon. The mental health outpatient
clinic provides 10,750 visits yearly. Residents serve both private practice and indigent patients in consult liaison, long-term outpatient clinics. The hospital has state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment services including functional MRI and ECT.

VETERAN'S AFFAIRS SIERRA NEVADA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM
Inpatient and outpatient general psychiatry, addictive disorders and geriatric
rotations are the curriculum at the VA. Residents have interaction with
Internal Medicine, Family Medicine and Surgery residents and serve both male and female veterans. UNSOM medical students are part of the treatment teams. There are approximately 500 adult psychiatry/chemical dependency admissions yearly. The outpatient mental health clinic provides 21,000 visits yearly.
NORTHERN NEVADA ADULT MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
This state and county-funded facility provides psychiatric services to
Northern Nevada residents without regard to ability to pay. The inpatient
unit has high acuity. Outpatient rotations give residents experience in
treating both acutely and chronically mentally ill patients. There are 740
adult psychiatry admissions yearly. The outpatient mental health
medication clinic provides 3,400 visits yearly. Neurology and elective
experiences are available. UNSOM medical students are part of the
treatment teams.

WEST HILLS HOSPITAL
This 95-bed private, acute psychiatric facility is the site for the adult and child and adolescent training experience. Additional elective experience is available in the fourth year.
