RESIDENCY CURRICULUM

Our psychiatric residency program at the University of Nevada School of Medicine

is dedicated to providing balanced training in both effective psychotherapies and pharmacotherapies. Training is also balanced in that it occurs in both public and private settings. We believe that psychiatrists of the future need to be physicians

of the mind. As a result, our curriculum focuses not only on neurobiological factors, but also past and present psychosocial factors contributing to the way individuals feel, think, and act.
