The four-year psychiatry residency program is accredited by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education. The program which began in 1993 offers quality experience through a variety of rotations and electives (during the PGY-4 year). The electives are designed to enhance the residents well rounded education. Upon graduation, many residents have remained in Nevada to practice at public and private sites, others have gone on to fellowship programs and others have joined the department as faculty.
