Research and Clinical Interests

Ms. Golberg received her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Maryland, College Park and her master of science degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. Public school experience includes employment by the Washoe County School District. She is Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. Her research, teaching, and clinical interests are in fluency disorders in children, articulation and phonological disorders, assessment of communication disorders, methods of clinical management, and clinical supervision. She has developed a clinical practicum handbook for use within the training program that includes information on clinical policies, evaluation, intervention, advisement, and certification. Also, she works closely with public education and health care facilities to coordinate the graduate externship program. Having served as secretary and president of the Nevada state association and secretary-treasurer and president of the Nevada licensure board, her interests include legislation and regulations significant to the field and professionalism and ethics pertinent to the practitioner.
