Research and Clinical Interests
Dr. Watterson received his bachelor's and master's degrees from St. Louis University and the doctoral degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He is a Fellow of ASHA, holds academic rank of professor and is currently the chair of the department. Dr. Watterson teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of anatomy and physiology, craniofacial disorders, alaryngeal speech, speech science, and voice disorders. He has published and presented more than 100 papers. Dr. Watterson is also a clinician who sees patients on a daily basis and works with students individually to develop clinical skills.
